Rasashastra is an independent entity, Rasashastra must get recognition as an independent medical therapy system

Rasashastra is an independent entity

Rasashastra must get recognition as an independent medical therapy system

Question

👇🏼

If *Rasakalpas are "against" the Bhaishajya Kalpana of Ayurveda*, then please also clarify which of these—Shodhana, Agnisamskara, Bhavana, Sukshmikarana, Matra, and Anupana—is against which principle of Ayurveda?

Being different or more evolved is one thing, being against Ayurveda is another thing.

Shodhana

The Shodhana, Marana, Sattvapatana, or the purification of poisons that exists in Rasashastra... in the Samhitas, that any substance should be purified, Shodhana should be performed... references to this type of process are not found.

In the Samhitas, the meaning of Shodhana comes only in the sense of the Shodhana of Doshas, the Shodhana of vitiated Rakta, expelling Doshas or Dhatus out of the body; it comes only with this much meaning.

Matra (Dosage)

The dosage of Bhaishajya Kalpanas mentioned in the Samhitas is stated as one Karsha (the dosage of Churna) and for all others it is mentioned as one Pala or two Palas. Whereas the dosage of Rasashastra does not generally go beyond three Raktikas = one Valla. In the Samhitas, the dosage of Sneha or Basti reaches up to 24 Palas!

Anupana (Vehicle / Adjuvant)

In the Samhitas, the diversity of Anupana is extremely vast & Anupana is mostly dietary or sometimes the Kashayas mentioned in the Samhitas themselves.

This kind of diversity does not exist in Rasashastra.

Sukshmikarana (Micro-fineness / Reduction)

There is no concept named Sukshmikarana in the Samhitas. Nor is any reference to such a word found anywhere in Rasashastra.

The most important difference lies in the Agni 🔥 Samskara (Heat process) itself!

Ayurvedic Bhaishajya Kalpana = basic fivefold Kashayas or combined formulations derived from them... in these, "heat processing is carried out only as long as water exists"... near the time of the complete exhaustion of water, that sticky cooking = Madhyama Paka occurs, which alone is acceptable for internal administration! But beyond that, when it turns into Khara Paka... that is generally not fit for internal use! And in the complete absence of water, the burnt cooking (Dagdha Paka) that occurs has been declared entirely useless...

Whereas the Puta of Rasashastra burns the medicine completely by making it utterly devoid of water = water-free... not once, but... 7, 100, 1000 times completely! And that too, not up to a black color like Mashi (carbonized ash), but burns and burns it up to a white ash like Bhasma, completely incinerating and destroying any plant residue present in it!

This type of complete absence of water or Dagdha Paka is not intended in Ayurvedic Bhaishajya Kalpana at all...

"Anupadagdham eva avatarya"... take it down from the fire just before burning even slightly... "protecting" the medicinal fraction dissolved into the water in this manner is the fundamental basis of Ayurvedic Bhaishajya Kalpana!

On the other hand, in Rasashastra, boiling and boiling, burning 🔥 and burning plants or the herbal medicinal essence impregnated into them within the liquid of an intensely hot, sharp, poison-like substance like sulfur, and preparing Puta (1, 7, 100, 1000), Pottali, and Parpati—this is far beyond even Dagdha Paka... *in this, there is zero possibility of any fraction of the plant remaining in its natural form.*

All formulations of Ayurvedic Bhaishajya Kalpana are prepared Apidhana = without covering with a lid. Covering with a lid makes them Vidagdha (improperly processed/acidic) and heavy to digest (Durjara)... despite this being so, in Rasashastra, medicines are "burnt" after closing their mouth and nose (gagging, suffocating, and choking them), applying mud-smeared cloth (Mrid-Karpata) seven times, and sealing them. This is *completely inconsistent, radically opposite, contradictory, and contrary* to Ayurvedic Bhaishajya Kalpana.

Bhavana (Levigation / Impregnation)

In Ayurvedic Bhaishajya Kalpana, Bhavana is given where the primary foundation base powder is plant-based; thus, there is definitely a possibility of "accepting the Bhavana" in it... but giving Bhavana to metals, minerals, and gems in Rasashastra = is like hitting one's head against a stone, because *for any plant fraction to "penetrate" = be absorbed into these substances like metals, minerals, and gems, is completely impossible.*

Giving Bhavana to gold, upon which even the world's most aggressive aqua regia has no effect, 🤣 is itself ridiculous.

The Kumari (Aloe vera) or rose water with which Bhavana is given during the Bhasma process of many gems or Sudha Varga (calcium group) substances is not even mentioned in the Samhitas.

In the Samhitas, after giving Bhavana, having to perform some heat processing again generally does not happen... even if it happens, it happens with the precaution "Anupadagdham eva avatarya"!

Bhavana is a form of imparting strength (Baladhana)... whereas in Rasashastra, after giving Bhavana, continually giving numerous Putas, making Pottali... these matters in which intense fire is applied... wherein due to the Bhavana liquid, whatever plant medicinal residues are present there, undergo complete combustion and become entirely useless.

Ayurveda is "Amritanam" ✅️... (Amrita = possessing Prana, living = meaning equal to the tissues of the body... capable of transforming into body tissues), Charaka has written this in the Agrya Sangraha.

Every formulation of Rasashastra is created from components like "dead ☠️, killed 💀, ash (Bhasma) 💩", therefore Rasashastra is utterly, radically contrary, opposite, and inconsistent with Ayurveda.

For this very reason, Rasashastra does not have even an iota of connection with Ayurveda.

There are many more points as well... (such as the original lineage of the descent of Ayurveda, the purpose of the Shastra, the main subject of the Shastra, or the fundamental subject components of the Shastra), which prove that Rasashastra has no connection whatsoever with Ayurveda Shastra.

Rasashastra does not have an iota of relation with Ayurveda... this means *Rasashastra is not Ayurveda... Rasashastra is not Ayurveda.*

"Rasashastra is a part of Ayurveda" is a fake narrative, this is a fabricated illusion... a calculated conspiracy... a trap deliberately laid out...

Those who have no faith, no self-confidence in the medicinal sections (Aushadha Skandha) mentioned in the Samhitas of Ayurveda, who have an inferiority complex, lack capability, lack capacity—such weak and unintelligent people, for their convenience, for their ease, due to desperation and helplessness, have accepted these Rasa formulations which are completely contrary, radically opposite, incompatible, external to Ayurveda, unscientific, unethical, and unrelated to Ayurvedic Bhaishajya Kalpana.

All vehicles run on fuel, this fact is true.

Yet airplanes, railways, motorcars, and two-wheelers are different.

Even though travel is possible through all of them.

Similarly, Rasashastra may have some bodily effects and adverse effects, and Ayurveda too has effects on the body.

If only this much similarity is accepted, even then Rasashastra does not have even a trace of connection with Ayurveda.

There can be medicines of Rasashastra.

There can be effects of the medicines of Rasashastra.

Whoever feels it is right according to their intellect can use the medicines of Rasashastra.

However, in the name of Ayurveda, assuming Rasashastra to be a component of Ayurveda, presenting Rasashastra as a part of Ayurveda... this should not happen.

Rasashastra is an independent entity.

Just as the BAMS course runs... in the same way, a BRMS course should run.

Just as there is AYUSH, similarly,

There should be SHAYUR.

Rasashastra should get recognition as an independent medicinal treatment system.

Rasashastra should not be included in Ayurveda.

In other clear words... *Rasashastra should be thrown out of Ayurveda!* ✅

Come, let us assume for a minute or two that...

Rasashastra did not exist at all.

Or Rasashastra was not in your syllabus at all, or

A separate course named BRMS was running which you had not done.

Yet in BAMS we were taught that *Charakastu Chikitsite* (Charaka is supreme in therapeutics)... then shouldn't we have this much confidence that... from the Samhita of the Shastra from which we learn the Hetu Skandha (etiology) & Lakshana Skandha (symptomatology) of the patient, and diagnose them, the Aushadha Skandha (therapeutics) written by that very same Samhita is sufficient for that diagnosis!!!

Why do we feel this necessity, why do we feel this helplessness, desperation, and dependency that if I do not use the medicines of such a Rasashastra, in which diagnosis and symptoms are not even written, I am not capable of curing the patient at all... from where does such a terrible *lack of self-confidence* arise!?

And then from where does the inner strength come to say *Charakastu Chikitsite*!?!?

How has the Ayurveda community been pulling off such a massive hypocrisy all at once for so many centuries... this, I have not been able to understand till today!?

😇🤔⁉️

Lohavada (alchemy) is not my subject at all.

In Dehavada (bodily therapeutics), so many inferior and discardable substances have been used that this much insult is certainly unacceptable.

The superior variety of any substance is for Lohavada,

And the inferior variety of any substance is for Dehavada.

And even if for two minutes we consider Lohavada and Dhatuvada as superior, still, among the fundamental principles of that very Rasashastra—the three main classes of Bhasma, namely Uttama (superior with Rasa), Madhyama (medium with roots/herbs), Adhama (inferior with sulfur etc.), and the fourth defective Ariloha—the first two do not happen practically, and only the last two are in practice today.

I have written an extensive article on this as well.

I have written in detail about Shilajatu as well.

Despite stating that gems should be purified (Shodhana) and not incinerated (Marana), and that making Bhasma of gems causes loss of potency (Viryahani), the Bhasma of gems and the incineration of gems are brought into practice and use.

This is a self-contradiction (Vadato Vyaghata) in itself.

There are many such points due to which, from the perspective of an Ayurveda Vaidya, accepting Rasashastra, under any justification or endorsement, is unacceptable to me.
